Harvington’s history-rich interior holds enthralling tales of devotion and Catholic persecution. There are no less than seven priest hides at Harvington (more than any other house in England), as well as an impressive collection of rare Elizabethan wall paintings and many more historical tales within the Hall.
Harvington Hall’s first history festival, will have you exploring Anne Boleyn and Elizabeth I’s relationship, plots and disguises, turbulent times of war and peace, the nitty-gritty everyday life of the Tudors and Jacobeans and beautiful Elizabethan music.
Discover these fascinating tales, across 17 events with top historians and authors set within the beautiful moated manor in Worcestershire, concluding with a concert in the grounds. The concert will comprise of music of huge historical significance as it was written in secret by Catholic composers during the musical ‘Golden Age’ of Elizabeth I’s reign.
